New Delhi: India`s star wrestler Sushil Kumar has won gold medal in the German Grand Prix Freestyle and Greco Roman tournament in Dortmund.
He was earlier hauled up for being overweight and missing a tournament in Thailand but bounced back in style by winning the gold. The Beijing Olympic bronze medallist won the gold in the 66 kg freestyle category in the three-day tournament which ended Sunday.

London: Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles of Bahamas have entered the quarter-finals of the Wimbledon men`s doubles with a 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (3), 6-0 victory over Prakash Amritraj and Pakistan`s Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi.
However, Bhupathi and Sania Mirza fell to Leander Paes and Clara Black 6-2, 6-7(2), 6-3 later in the day.

| Delhi Metro to connect to Commonwealth Games venues |
|
New Delhi: Delhi Metro route is going to connect all the Commonwealth Games venues except one of them, which is definitely good news for all the sports lovers.
The Phase-II of the Delhi Metro will offer easy Metro connectivity to 10 of the 11 venues of the 2010 Commonwealth Games. The Metro lines passing near by the Games venues to be opened by September next year with its current operational network of 74.56 kms, will increase its network to 190 kms.

Russia: Indian women crushed Belgium 6-3 to win the inaugural Champions Challenge II hockey tournament on Saturday.
Rani Rampal, who emerged as the tournament`s top scorer with eight goals, scored four goals in the 17th, 38th, 44th and 54th minutes.
Apart from her, Saba Anjum (20th min) and Thokchom Chanchan (49th min) scored a goal each and led India to victory. Skipper Valerie Vermeersch (40th, 52nd) and Boon Jill (55th) scored for Belgium.
