Sony has launched a slew of new Cyber-shot cameras - H, W and S series, to suit the varying palette of the Indian customers. The cameras in the Cyber-shot super Hi-zoom series (H series) include DSC-H90, DSC-HX10V, DSC-HX20V and DSC-HX200V. The price of the H series ranges from Rs 13,990 to Rs 27,990.
Sony's DSC-H90 features new 16.1 effective megapixel CCD sensors and Intelligent Auto that is capable of recognising up to 33 scenes that makes it easier to take crystal clear pictures. The DSC-H90 has a 16x optical zoom and 360 sweep panorama that captures virtually any wide range or telephoto shot.
The Cyber-Shot DSC-HX20V features a 20x optical zoom and the DSC-HX10V features a 16x optical zoom, a new 18.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor, Optical Steady Shot and i-Auto shooting mode. The DSC-HX200V sports an 18.2 mega pixel Exmor R CMOS sensor. It will have a 30x optical zoom.
The models in Cyber-shot compact hi-zoom series (W series) include six models - DSC-WX150, DSC-W690, DSC-WX50, DSC-W630, DSC-W620 and DSC-W610. The WX150 and W690 models are claimed to be engineered with newly-developed Advanced Aspherical (AA) lens, which dramatically reduces camera body thickness to as slim as 17.5mm while increasing optical performance for image quality.
The compact Hi-Zoom series starts from Rs 6,490 and goes up to Rs 14,990. The W690 model will hit the shelves in May, while the WX150 will be available by the end of this month. In addition, Sony has announced the launch of the new S-Series Cyber-shot camera - DSC-S5000. The camera will be available in black, silver and pink colours.
