 The President of India announced the list of winners selected this year for the honourable Padma Awards 2012. The Awards are given in all disciplines of activities, namely art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports, civil service, etc.
The list of winners this year includes actors Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra and filmmaker Mira Nair who will be conferred with the Padma Bhushan award. Besides singer Anup Jalota and filmmaker Priyadarshan have been selected for the Padma Shri award.
