New Delhi: With several hurdles and formalities to be completed, admission in Delhi schools is not a child's play. Many candidates residing at the outskirt of Delhi have been denied admission by several schools citing that their birth certificates have not been provided by Delhi Government.
Residents residing in border areas of Delhi, such as Noida and Ghaziabad prefer the best nearby hospital in case of emergency. Therefore, their new born baby gets birth certificate issued by the Uttar Pradesh Government. Now, it is a technical hurdle in the way of parents who want to impart education in Delhi to their child.
It implies that few schools in Delhi would not enroll those candidates who are carrying birth certificates of other states. Parents had complained that it is mandatory in some schools to show birth certificates issued by MCD.
Last year, the High Court has issued several guidelines for nursery admission in order to ensure convenience to parents. However, this issue still remains untouched.
