 The low cost Acer Iconia A200 tablet is expected to arrive in India by March next year. The arrival of this device is expected to fuel the competition in the Indian tablet market.
Acer has already announced the availability of the device in the UK. According to a report from the Mobile Indian, the 8 GB version of the tablet has been priced at 299 GBP, which comes out to be approx Rs 25,000. However, an official word on its Indian pricing is still not out from the company.
The Iconia A200 runs on Google Android Honeycomb 3.2 operating system but will get its Ice Cream Sandwich update in January itself. Since the device will come to India by March, it may come preloaded with Android 4.0 operating system.
The other specs of the device include Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor, 1 GB of DDR 2 RAM, front facing camera and 16 GB of internal storage space. The rear camera of the tablet has been removed. The Iconia A200 comes in both red and black colours, which adds to its looks.
