New Delhi: Rock bands often talk about protecting the environment. Now, a concert hopes to walk the talk by aiming for a zero carbon footprint. Rock band Parikrama along with New York-based band Solar Punch and singer Kabul Rishi are set to rock Delhi and NCR at an environment concert for peace.
Most of the lighting for the show will be powered by solar energy while the generators will run on bio diesel. The invitations are printed on recycled paper and special recognition will be given to people working or contributing towards nature/climate by plantations. Even the audience has been requested to arrive at the venue in public transport or car pools.
Titled, My Earth My Duty, the concert aims to promote mass awareness towards saving planet earth. Organised by Routes2Roots and Advit Foundation in association with ICCR, the environmental-peace concert will be held at HUDA Gymkhana, Gurgaon, on November 23 and at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Weightlifting Auditorium, New Delhi, on November 24.
