India and Britain to cooperate in healthcare research jointly
 

New Delhi: India and Britain Monday signed an agreement to cooperate in research and development for providing affordable healthcare to people in India.

"The objective of the joint venture is to support translational and innovative research projects leading to development of safe and effective healthcare products," the statement said.

The unique features of the scheme include access to networks of international experts and overseas scientists, specifically aiming at "affordable healthcare" and boost to innovation in both academic and commercial research laboratories across India.
