 Ahmedabad: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will accept online applications for new colleges running MBA, MCA, diploma engineering and architecture courses.
The applications will be accepted till December 31. Officials said that from January 1 to March 1, the documents submitted as part of the online application process of colleges will be checked. In February, officials will undertake inspection. Colleges which meet the criteria are expected to be given permission by April end.
Officials said that the system has been streamlined so as to ensure that permission to new colleges is granted in time and is not delayed. In the past years, permission to new colleges was granted by July end which interfered with the central admission process.
