Chennai: Japanese consumer durables major Panasonic said it has no plans to enter the tablet personal computers market, which is all set to double this year.

Ito said they were focused on delivering products Business-to-Business segment than B2C category.

Industry experts say tablets PCs are smaller in size but have operations like that of a PC. In 2011, the size of tablet PCs is set to double and reach 5 Lakh units from the present 2.50 akh units.

Already many big and small consumer durable players like Sony, LG, Reliance in Motion, Samsung have forayed into this business launching various models of tablet PCs.

It is mainly in the B2B segment. It is a very heavy computer used for industrial applications even if you throw it on the floor, it will not break.
