 NEW DELHI - All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will replace injured batsman Gautam Gambhir in India's squad for the upcoming one-day series in England, it was announced on Wednesday.
India, who lost the Test series 4-0, play five-match one-day series starts in Chester-le-Street on Saturday.
Jadeja, 22, has so far scored 535 runs and taken 29 wickets in 35 one-day internationals.
Gambhir was injured when he fell on his head trying to take a catch during the final Test at the Oval. He was diagnosed with concussion and was still suffering with blurred vision during a practice session on Monday.
Suresh Raina was named vice-captain for the one-day series.
Injury-hit India is already without Virender Sehwag, Ishant Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh, who have all been ruled out of the one-day series
