Banarasi fabric find place in ethnic wear of the Bollywood stars. This change has begun since the last some time when the fabrics have become more important than its own interpretation by the various designers through the embroideries.
Designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Manish Malhotra use the Banarasi fabric in nearly all their creations. In fact designers like Manish Arora, Ritu Kumar and Sabyasachi Mukherjee regularly visit the city for the fabrics.
The fabric has made its presence felt even at the various fashion weeks. Designers like Rohit Bal make use of it in the creation of traditional wear for men like the shervanis.
