 ASUS has recently launched a new silent HD 6770 DirectCU graphics card which uses passive cooling in order to eliminate noise. According to the company, on the one hand the card is up to 16% cooler than other passive cooling design cards while on the other it yield 15% better performance and better over clocking.
The new cooler is said to be up to 16 percent more efficient than standard passive cooling, which can be attributed to the DirectCU technology. In this, the copper heat pipes come in contact with the GPU core directly thus increasing the heat transfer and in turn lowering the temperatures a lot quicker.
