Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (Vuda) is planning to set up a suburban transport system (STS) on the lines of Hyderabad's Multi-Modal Transport System (MMTS).
RITES Ltd, a Government of India enterprise under the aegis of the Indian Railways, has been asked to give a feasibility report on STS. Vuda vice-chairman Kona Sashidhar said they held a meeting with RITES officials and discussed the plans for the new suburban transport system.
Interacting with media persons here on Friday, he said RITES would submit the feasibility report in three months.
