Guwahati: It was a magnificent union of Rabindra Sangeet and Satriya dance at an occasion to mark the 150th birth year of Nobel laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore at Rabindra Bhaban in the city recently.
The dance programme, depicted in the form of Satriya dance with compositions of Rabindra Sangeet based on with 'ritu' (seasons), was choreographed by noted Satriya dancer Anita Sarmah while music was given by eminent musician Bibhuranjan Choudhury and Bhaskar Jyoti Ojah.
The programme titled 'Ritu Ranga' was organized by socio-cultural organization Abhinaya with support from the Sangeet Natak Akademi.
The whole programme was scripted in Satriya form and the dance was designed by artistes like Pabitra Bhagawati, Bobirani Talukdar, Pratibha Sarmah, Shrutimala Medhi, Aarhee Koushik, Malati Rajpoot, Priyambada and Shristi Brahma Boro.
