Punjab government appoints five gold medallists as DSP

Chandigarh: The Punjab government approved the appointment of five gold medalist players of Asian and Commonwealth Games as Deputy Superintendent of Police.

Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, who also holds the charge of Home Affairs and Sports Department, today gave his approval to the appointment.

However as per the instructions of the Deputy Chief Minister Gold Medalist graduate players had been offered the post of DSP.

Congratulating the players, Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the SAD-BJP government was making all efforts to motivate the players by giving them suitable jobs, hefty cash prizes and by providing world class sports infrastructure.
