Chandigarh: Haryana has proposed a teacher evaluation system to improve their skills and provide quality education to students in government institutions.
Under the proposed strategy, teachers would be evaluated on three counts -- self-appraisal, management's evaluation and grading, and management's suggestions.
However the evaluation would be placed within a growth oriented and fair framework and the evaluation experience would be non-threatening and beneficial for all parties, especially the students.
The proposed teachers' evaluation strategy has been uploaded on the department website and all stakeholders have been invited to send their comments through post or e-mail to identify areas for improvement.
