Chandigarh: The Haryana government announced a committee to oversee the security of places of religious importance in the state.
The committee, set up Tuesday, will be headed by director general of police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Its members will include director of urban local bodies, inspector general of police (law and order), deputy commissioners and superintendents of police of districts, administrators of places of pilgrimages, and chief executive officers of shrines and others.
