Allahabad: The Government Railway Police conducted extensive checking at the Allahabad junction in the wake of Mumbai blasts. Checking was also done in various trains passing through Allahabad junction. Dog squad was also during the checking.
The areas where checking was done included the circulating area, booking windows, passenger reservation system counters, platforms and bridges. The luggage of passengers was checked.
Even the intelligence wing has been activated at the junction.
Security was also tightened at Rambagh, Prayag, Phapamau and Jhunsi stations while trains going towards Mumbai were being checked.
