Agartala: The Left Front government in Tripura has banned the distribution and use of pesticide endosulfan for three months.
The pesticide is widely used in agriculture in the country, particularly for rice and cotton crops.
"We (Tripura government) have banned the sale, distribution and use of endosulfan for three months," Tripura agriculture department director Shib Narayan Sen told.
