Varanasi: Purvanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Ltd (PVVNL) office has launched one-time settlement (OTS) scheme, starting from Friday (July 1).
The scheme that would be implemented till September 15 this year, promises to provide full exemption from electricity surcharge and cover all categories of power consumers in the region.
Announcing the same on Thursday, managing director, PVVNL, Suresh Ram said the plan would also cover power defaulters whose cases were pending in court and recovery certificates (RC) issued against them.
As per the OTS plan, power consumers are registered under concerned division/sub-division after depositing Rs 1,000 as registration fee along with mentioning details of the pending bills on the registration form. The plan offers exemption of electric surcharge and allows payment of pending bills in monthly instalments.
