 Thiruvananthapuram: The Congress-led UDF Government in Kerala has appointed veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan as chairman of the state Chalachitra Academy.
Priyadarshan, 54, succeeds eminent director K R Mohan as head of the film academy.
He has received several prestigious honours, including the national award for best feature for ''Kanchivaram'' in 2008.
