 New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh finally reshuffled his Cabinet.
Jairam Ramesh and Dinesh Trivedi have been included in his core team.
However while Jairam Ramesh is the new minister for rural development, the railways has gone to Trinamool leader Dinesh Trivedi.
BP Verma and Kishore Chandra Deo have got steel and tribal affairs ministry respectively.
On the other hand, Law minister Veerappa Moily has been shifted to Corporate Affairs. Salman Khurshid replaces him as the new law minister.
Along with these, Minister of State Mukul Roy has been divested of railways portfolio. He, however, retains the shipping ministry.
The new Cabinet has no new names from the DMK.
Some of the new faces in the ministry include Srikant Jena and Gurudas Kamat.
Congress spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan, Congress chief whip Paban Singh Ghatowar has been inducted as ministers of State with independent charge.
TMC chief whip Sudip Bandopadhyaya, Congress leaders Charan Das Mahant, Jitendra Singh, Milind Deora, Rajiv Shukla have made their debut as ministers of State in the Cabinet.
Five ministers- MS Gill, BK Handique, Kanti Lal Bhuria, A Sai Prathap and Arun S Yadav- have been dropped. Resignations of Dayanidhi Maran and Murli Deora have been forwarded to President for acceptance.
