Manali: the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corp Ltd (HPTDC) starts two luxury buses on the 52 km-long Manali-Rohtang highway from today.
HPTDC has taken this decision as domestic and international tourists have been complaining of frequent traffic jams on the Manali-Rohtang highway. Earlier, a 27-seater bus was plying between the two destinations but it was inadequate to handle the tourist rush.
Now to avoid traffic snarls, buses shall start from Manali at 8 am throughout the week except on Tuesday, when Rohtang remains closed for civilians.
