Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has distributed agricultural loans of over Rs 457 crore for cultivation of kharif crops in the current financial year so far.
However the state has set a target of distributing Rs 1,050 crore short-term agri loans during the period.
The loan is made available to the farmers at a low interest rate of 3 per cent annually for fertiliser and seed in addition to cash through 333 primary agriculture credit cooperative committees, the sources added.
