 Kattappana: The Cashew and Cocoa Development Directorate is implementing a project to bring 300 hectares of land under cocoa cultivation in Idukki district.
However the Kerala Agriculture Development Society has been appointed the nodal agency to implement the project in Devikulam and Thodupuzha taluks.
In Udumbanchola, the Marcaud Social Service Society will monitor the project.
In Devikulam taluk, the cultivation will be taken up on 50 hectares of land in the Mankulam panchayat. In Thodupuzha, the panchayats of Udumpannur, Velliyamattom, Vannappuram, and Kodikkulam have been identified.
Those who did not have title deeds should provide a certificate from the grama panchayat president on the ownership of land.
