Panaji: Urban development minister Joaquim Alemao on Tuesday assured funds for the setting up of a garbage treatment plant at Taleigao.
The issue of finding a solution to Panaji's garbage was deliberated at a meeting held by the minister with Mayor Yatin Parekh, CCP commissioner Melvyn, deputy commissioner Agnelo Fernandes and other officials at the secretariat on Tuesday.
The meeting was convened to take stock of the garbage situation in Panaji and to discuss measures to find a solution to the imbroglio.
