Dehra Dun: The famous Sikh shrine of Hemkunt Sahib reopened amid presence of pilgrims who thronged in large numbers.
Portals of the Gurudwara were reopened this morning by its Mukhiya Granthi at a function attended by the management, committee members and administrative officials apart from over 20,000 devotees.
Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, situated at a height of 16,000 feet in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, involves a difficult trekking of 19 kilometers from Govindghat, the last roadhead, to reach the place.
