Ranchi: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) Eklavya Archery Academy cadet Sumita Kumari has won gold for the country in the third Asian Archery Grand Prix in Bangladesh.
SAIL chairman CS Verma complimented Sumita on her success and exhorted her to strive to achieve excellence in every field at a felicitated meet organised by the company's raw material division on Friday at Kiriburu in West Singhbhum. Sumita, who is being trained at the academy by Coach Rajendra Guyia for the past two years, has excelled continuously showing a consistent track record of winning medals at various national level competitions.
The Indian women's recurve team in Bangladesh hosted the third Asian Archery Grand Prix at the BKSP Cricket ground in Dhaka.
