Bhopal: The Bridgestone India Private Limited (BSID), a subsidiary of the Bridgestone Corporation Japan, Tuesday announced the start of production of truck and bus radial tyres at its Kheda plant in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district.
The facility, set up at an estimated investment of Rs.170 crore, will achieve a capacity of around 200 tyres per day by December 2011 which will be further enhanced to 400 tyres per day by July 2012.
Additional Chief Secretary Satya Prakash, Bridgestone Corporation Japan (tyre division) vice president Fumihiro Yanaga and senior state government officials were present at the inauguration.
