Guwahati: In the 10th Doordarshan (DD) National Awards this year, Imphal Doordarshan Kendra was honoured with two prizes.

'Journey', jointly produced by Manibabu Likmabam and Thoudam Brajabidhu, won the Best Programme Award in the musical category while 'Farmers' Pride', an educational series for the agricultural section of society, produced by Manibabu Likmabam and Assurance Raikhan, was adjudged the best programme in the agriculture category.

However Songam Vashum from Manipur, an anchor with DD News, Delhi, and Sakal Bhatt shared the Best Anchor Award. The Best Doordarshan Kendra Award went to Hyderabad and the Best Telefilm Award was clinched by 'Eti Shaponave Pam Khedi' of Guwahati DD Kendra.
