Uttarakhand sanctions Rs 11 crore more for cultural affairs
 

Dehradun: Uttarakhand government released a sum of Rs11 crore for the ministry of cultural affairs.

However in the past four years, the Uttarakhand government has released a total sum of Rs.45 crore towards the cultural activities in the state, cultural affairs minister Vijaya Barthwal said.

The government has pledged its full support and co-operation towards encouraging cultural activities in the state through several schemes and policies, she added.

Uttarakhand, often referred to as the land of fairs and festivals, witnesses a plethora of vibrant cultural activities like Uttarayani Fair, Jauljibi And Thal Fairs, Nanda Devi Fair and many others throughout the year.
