Jaipur: The World Bank and the Union government are going to help the state government for building up the international-level training centre for forest staff and tiger conservationists in Jaipur district.
A meeting in this regard was held on Tuesday, attended by the officials of World Bank, state government and wildlife experts.
The minister said the centre would collect all types of data for such species and through the use of information technology, help compile records on them.
On the other hand the Centre has approved the same during the three-day International Conference on Tiger Conservation held recently in New Delhi. The centre would impart training to park rangers and lower staff of all the 13 tiger range countries. The centre is likely to come up near Sanjay Van in Shahpura.
Director of World Bank Bruno Laporte and Professor Keshav Sharma, project director, Global Tiger Initiative, lauded the steps being taken by the state government for setting up of the centre and assured of all help from the WB.
