Gurgaon: The Internet and Mobile Association of India is planning to launch a campaign in April to teach school children the basic tenets of safe web-surfing.
The campaign Safe Surfing For School Kids: Dos and Donts will feature counselling sessions for students from Class VI onwards.
Deepak Kapoor, the organizer of the campaign, said, The internet poses threats to young children. A lot of precaution needs to be taken, said Kapoor.
Suncity School, along with Colonel Central Academy, Heritage School, and Scottish High, will be among those to host counselling sessions in their premises.
The Gurgaon police have also extended their support to the campaign.
