Guwahati: The recently held Miss Mega Northeast Contest witnessed a perfect example of unity among all.
Talents across the region participated in the event promoted cultural exchange among the northeastern states.
However when it comes to beauty and talent, the northeast is second to none and this was amply demonstrated at the 9th edition of the contest here, where 21 finalists from the northeast and West Bengal enthralled the spectators with their Indian beauty.
The winner of the title for 2011 was Sukanya Rajguru of Assam, S Hursoseno of Nagaland was the 1st Runner up and Hoirose from Manipur bagged the 2nd Runner Up title.
The event opens new vistas for young talented girls from the region to join a bright career in modelling. It has grown in stature and repute with passing years and is now the most sought after pageant in the northeast.
