Jaipur: The state minorities department formally announced on Sunday the credit plan for economically disadvantaged minorities.
The department will disburse Rs 11.70 crore for the financial year 2011-12. The amount is more than the total amount disbursed to minorities in the past ten years.
The plan was unveiled by Rohit Brandon, principal secretary, minorities department, in a meeting with NGO's at the social welfare department office.
The department had received around 8,000 loan applications till date in Jaipur alone.
