Jaipur: The Centre on Friday permitted opening of a Kendriya Vidhalaya in a nondescript village called Indrapura in Jhunjhunu district.
This is first-of-its kind KV school opening in a rural area.
This village was in the national limelight when President Pratibha Patil visited it to honor widows and mothers of myrtared soldier in 2008. She had also expressed deep concern for the plight of widows.
During her visit, the villagers had asked for a school for the kin of martyrs.Usually, these schools are built in district and army headquarters and are affiliated to CBSE.
