 Shillong: Air Marshal KK Nohwar, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command (EAC), flagged off a trekking expedition of 21 Provost and security team from the EAC headquarters, IAF on Friday.
The team of air warriors, led by wing commander N Verma, is on a two-day expedition from upper Shillong to Cherrapunjee.
The objective of this expedition is not only to kindle a spirit of adventure, comradeship and spirit-de-corps among the air warriors but also to acquaint them with the culture of local people through face-to-face inter-actions and to cultivate healthy civil-military relations.
