Sindri: With the campus recruitment drive in BIT, Sindri has gone up to 470 with Jai Balaji group selecting six students from metallurgical engineering branch and Era Group choosing three students from civil engineering on Monday.
G Kumar, the professor in charge of training and placement of the institute, the only government engineering college of Jharkhand, said both the companies had offered a salary package of Rs 3 lakh to the students.
So far, 72 students of mechanical engineering, 60 from electrical engineering, 32 from production engineering, 51 from metallurgical engineering, 48 from chemical engineering, 67 from civil engineering, 26 from mining engineering, 46 from electronics engineering, 32 from computer science and engineering and 36 from IT branches have bagged job through campus recruitment drive.
Institute students were delighted when the TCS announced to give annual scholarship of Rs 10,000 to the topper of computer science and engineering branch.
