Ranchi: The first-year students of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) have bagged fully paid summer internship from reputed companies that include two foreign placements.
A total of 51 offers were made by 24 companies from different sectors for 44 students in the first-year batch. However two students bagged placements for international internship in Singapore and Malaysia with a stipend of Rs 1.6 lakh for two months.
Students have got placements in financial consulting, strategy, hospitality management, IT consulting, statistics and economic research.
On the other hand sales and marketing was the most preferred area on campus with 31.82 per cent offers, while finance roles were second with 29.54 per cent offers. Offers from operations and consulting were around 11.36 per cent and 13.64 per cent, respectively.
