Lohardaga: Deputy Commissioner Ratan Kumar and general manager of the Indo-Danish Tool Room S S Kohli signed a MoU for a vocational training programme.
This programme will be imparted to 100 youths including 18 girls from the Naxalite-hit Peshrar block.
The training programme under the central government's Integrated Action Plan will spend Rs 1.26 crore. Selection of candidates has been done and the shortlisted candidates are to be sent to Jamshedpur by March 15. All will be provided a monthly scholarship of Rs 350 till they complete their training on four different trades during the two-year period.
Now Peshrar, being a new block, needs all kinds of developmental schemes. One hundred youths were selected from among 450 applicants for training on four trades according to their educational background like matric fail, matric pass and intermediate pass.
