`An apple a day, keeps the doctor away` is a popular saying about this vitamin C rich fruit. This may help in weight loss and works as an antioxidant. Banana also contains Vitamin C and Vitamin B6. So, a salad of both these fruits must be a healthy one.
The `Apple Banana salad` ingredients include one Apple, two Bananas, two Red Chillies, 25 gm grated Coconut, 2 tea spoons chopped Corriander leaves, half a teaspoon Sugar and salt to taste.
The method of preparing Apple Banana Salad is also very easy. At first, the apple is washed and grated. The bananas are chopped into small pieces. Two teaspoons of cooking oil is taken on a frying pan. When the oil becomes hot, few mustard seeds and Cumin seeds (Jeera) untill they splutter. Two red Chillies are fried on oil till brown.
The mixture is cooled in the frying pan. Then grated apples, chopped bananas, coconut, corriander leaves, sugar and salt are added.
The salad is now ready to serve and works as a good appetizer.
