Mumbai : The Gateway Hotel in association with Aryan Hospitality Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of IRB Infrastructure Developers, will develop a 100-room property in Kolhapur. The property to be known as The Gateway Hotel Kolhapur in Vikram Nagar facing the army golf course will be located three kms away from the city centre. According to the company release, it will be equipped with an all day dining restaurant, a bar, banqueting, conferencing and meeting facilities that will cater to resident and non resident guest requirements. Recreational facilities will include a swimming pool and fitness centre.
Raymond Bickson, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Indian Hotels Company Ltd said, "Our primary strategy for The Gateway Hotels is to pave the way into untapped Tier-II cities and bring in a new class in hospitality in those cities. This constitutes all prominent economic, commercial and industrial centres. Kolhapur fits well into this strategy as it is a hub of commercial activity across critical industry sectors."
