T-Mobile G2 to have 720p HD Recording

Android loving eager souls could hardly wait and hence surfaced leaked G2's Android 2.2 Froyo built from Chinese 911Sniper blog. Further, Android Modding guru Cynogen took up investigation and stated that the phone will have new Qualcomm MSM7x30 chipset. This new chipset is capable of 720p HD recording at 30 fps and multimedia playback.

The new T-Mobile G2 will be the first phone with HSPA+ connectivity, thanks to the Qualcomm chipset inside it. Further investigation by David Ruddick of AndroidPolice indicated several new features from the HTC made G2 smartphone. Of course this would be a next generation phone with a good hardware inside it; everyone is betting for little more than predecessors. Here's a list of features that Qualcomm MSM7X30 chipset would offer:

1. Video recording 720p HD at 30 frames per second

2. Integrated 2D/3D GPU with OpenGL ES 2.0 and OpenVG 1.1 API support

3. Up to 12 megapixel camera support

4. Support for CPU clock speeds between 800MHz and 1GHz.

5. 5.1 surround sound output

However, we must not forget that these specifications come from the engineering or testing samples. The actual features of the Qualcomm chipset in G2 smartphone might vary.
