 Sony has announced two high-end alpha DSLRs - A560 and A580 with full HD video recording support. Out of these two, A580 DSLR is meant for Europe region only at the moment. Both models have 15-point phase-detection autofocus system for rapid and accurate auto-focus tracking. Features include full HD 1080i AVCHD or MP4 video format, 3D Sweep panorama and SteadyShot Inside in-body sensor shift for image stabilization.
New 14.2 megapixel Alpha A560 camera has Quick AF Live View, 7 frames per second continuous shooting, and Auto HDR features. The Auto HDR combines three burst frames to make one HDR image. Information of upto six frames is used to produce quality equivalent of ISO 25600 by multi-frame noise reduction. This DSLR has new generation Sony Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor that offers high quality pictures with low-noise processing.
With Sweep Panorama technology, the A560 is capable of capture image up to 180 degree horizontally or 126 degree vertically. Using new 3D Sweep Panorama mode, both cameras can shoot 3D panoramic still images with single lens and those images can be enjoyed on 3D HD TVs. New A580 has 16.2 megapixel sensors and has most features of A560.
Both cameras offer full HD 1080i video shooting with a dedicated Movie button. Both cameras support Memory Stick Pro DUO and SD (SDHC and SDXC) format memory cards. Sony will make A580 available in October for 900 EURO (Rs. 53,310 approx.) and A560 will arrive in the first quarter of 2011 for 800 EURO (Rs. 47,300 approx.).
