Mumbai : The government today said the National Vocational Education Bill, aimed at making students and dropouts employable and get certification in various skill development programmes, would soon be tabled in the Parliament.

"We are expecting the bill to be placed in the Parliament during the winter session," HRD Minister Kapil Sibal said while delivering the Ramrao Adik Oration here.

The government is also planning to introduce a series of legislations to reform the education system. In fact there are many bills in the pipeline with the objective to have a transparent, corruption-free and a true democratic education system in the country, he said.

Among the various bills the government is planning to come up with include Educational Tribunal bill and Educational Malpractices bill.

Speaking on the occasion, Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan said the state was looking forward to the tabling of the Foreign University bill.
