Hyderabad : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Sep 5 alerted the officials to closely monitor flood situation in the state and take all precautionary measures to minimise the loss of property and crops.
The Chief Minister reviewed the latest situation with the Minister for Revenue, Dharmana Prasada Rao, Chief Secretary S V Prasad and Commissioner, Disaster Management T Radha over phone from his residence, a press release said.
Rosaiah directed officials concerned to be in constant touch with the district collectors regarding the measures to meet the situation if necessary, it said. The state as a whole has recorded 660 mm rainfall as against the normal rainfall of 504.9 mm as of today, the Meteorological Department said.
Rayalaseema region recorded 438.7 mm rainfall, coastal Andhra region recorded 709.4 mm rainfall, and Telangana region recorded 740.3 mm, it said.
