 Mumbai : Following critical acclaim and box office success in India, Aamir Khan's home production 'Peepli Live' will release in the United Kingdom on September 24.
"Producer Aamir Khan plans on touring UK extensively to promote the movie. He has also made a humble request to all his fans in UK, that they watch the film only when it officially releases in UK and not through pirated DVDs or downloads, and instead go to theatres to truly enjoy the 'Peepli Live experience'," according to reports.
In its opening weekend Peepli earned Rs 24 crore. With 109 overseas prints it grossed another USD 6,40,000 (Rs 2.88 crore) abroad. The release received one of the highest openings for a non cast film in overseas markets. In the US, the film released on 64 prints garnered around USD 3,64,000 in the opening weekend.
