One more Patna-Delhi flight from Sept 2
 

Patna : There is some good news for the city fliers as another non-stop daily flight from Patna to Delhi will start from Sep 2. Go Air on Aug 27 announced Patna as its 16th route of network with flights operating from Patna to Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore.

The non-stop daily flight to Delhi would start from September 2 that would also go to Mumbai via Delhi while the airline would begin services to Pune and Bangalore from October 2.

Go Air is elated by adding Patna to its list of destinations, Priyank Sharma, head, corporate, Go Air told newspersons here on Friday. As Patna is the 5th largest growing city in India and the 2nd largest city of eastern India, the new flights would provide the air travellers with more convenient timings and better connectivity, Sharma said and added that with the introduction of new flights, Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune would also be connected to Patna via Delhi. The Delhi-Patna flight which would leave Delhi at 7.20 am would reach Patna by 9 am. On its return journey, it would leave Patna at 9.25 am and reach Delhi at 10.55 am. The same flight would proceed for Mumbai and reach there by 1.25 pm.

The airline would also introduce another non-stop daily flight for Delhi on October 2, connecting Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore. The flight which would leave Delhi at 3.15 pm would reach Patna at 4.45 p.m. On its return journey, it would leave Patna at 5.20 pm going to Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore via Delhi.

He said the Patna-Delhi fare would be Rs 2,800, Patna-Mumbai (Rs 4,200) and Patna-Bangalore Rs 4,800. Two new A 320 Airbus has already been inducted by the airline.

On starting the services at the time when the Union civil aviation ministry has threatened to shut down the Patna airport for safety concerns, JV Naidu, head, support and services, Go Air, said that the DGCA had only made its observations in this regard and not taken any final decision. He, however, said that the AAI had taken note of this and is trying to remove the obstacles.
