Manjushree Technopack bags three IIP awards

Mumbai : Bangalore-based packaging major Manjushree Technopack Ltd, one of the leading packaging players in India, has bagged three "India Star Awards" for the year 2009-10.

"India Star Awards" by the leading industry body, Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is the premier award amongst country's packaging fraternity.

According to the company statement, Manjushree won the awards for three of its packaging innovations provided to leading FMCG companies, Cadbury, Del Monte and Unilever. The company won the awards under two categories - the Cadbury's Bubbaloo jar won under the "Consumer Packaging Design" category and the Del Monte's Twango / Zingo and Unilever's Kissan Squeezo multilayer sauce bottles won under the "Food Packaging Design' category."

Vimal Kedia, MD, Manjushree Technopack, said, "Our consistent victories at the India Star Awards reflect our expertise in rigid packaging and path-breaking work with leading FMCG brands. The award was instituted by IIP to encourage and recognise new and innovative concepts in packaging. The objective behind the India Star is to promote and award excellence in packaging design, innovation and technology.

The awards are expected to present on October 1st in Mumbai, as a part of "Indiapack 2010," attended by leading lights from the industry.
