They were the first to bring Bluetooth in TV's, first for DivxHD and now they are one again first to launch the first LED backlit LCD TV with 'NANO Lighting Technology'. They haven't revealed a whole lot of detail as to what this NANO Lighting Technology really is but they say it would give you clearer images with better lighting and smoother images.
It sounds like LG is using smaller and more powerful LEDs to achieve this since the LEX8 measures just 88mm and has a 1.25 cm bezel making it the slimmest and narrowest 'Full LED TV' (not edge lit) in the world once it's unveiled at IFA. Amongst other things, it supports local dimming LEDs for deeper blacks and will have 400Hz TruMotion for those eye-popping 3D visuals.
